Kitchen Remodel Memorial West Houston – This lovely west Houston home needed a major kitchen update. Formica counter tops and beat up cabinets just weren’t doing the home justice. And, the layout of the kitchen was not well suited to the family chef who often felt cramped in a hot corner while her guests were in the next room.  ReCraft removed a portion of a wall between the kitchen and the living room to create a breakfast bar and place for guests to sit while the host was cooking. We moved the oven and stove top from a cramped corner and put it closer to the breakfast area and living room so that she could cook while talking with family or guests. We also opened up the space between the breakfast area and the kitchen by removing the top cabinets and adding in a powerful but quiet vent hood in stainless steel to match the new appliances.  Our custom cabinetry included built in wine racks and a wine fridge, as well as custom pantry and deep drawers. Honed granite counter tops and tumbled marble back splashes finished off the look. This kitchen now is the center of attention and the chef can do her magic while enjoying the company of friends and family.
